I had the good fortune of growing up in rural Wyoming. Fresh air, clean water, blue skies and lots of nature. I was outdoors every chance I had, camping, hiking, canoeing, doing kid stuff. My endless hours outside and the change of seasons Wyoming offered helped me to have a strong connection to the rhythms and energy of Mother Earth. I have learned that each of us has our own rhythm and energy. This rhythm and energy makes up our bodies inner wisdom.
The human body is wonderfully complex. We are composed of over 50 trillion cells all working in harmony with each other. That harmony gets disrupted by three things. Trauma, toxins and thought. Our bodies usually do a great job keeping us healthy, but sometimes we need help to get back to homeostasis or harmony in our cells. Proper nutrition and regular bodywork can assist our 50 trillion cells in reversing the damage caused by the three disrupters.
Bodywork benefits us in many ways. Physical manipulation of muscles, tissues, and joints restores range of motion and increase blood flow. This nourishes our bodies and encourages re-absorption of lymph by the lymphatic system. Thus invigorating the immune system and helping our bodies remove toxins.
Nutrition benefits us by giving our bodies the proper nutrients, vitamins, and minerals necessary for optimal health and vitality. But where do you start? With so many diets, and so called healthy food to choose from its hard to make sense of it all. Nutrition coaching will help you navigate this confusing area. I will help you find what works for you, teach you techniques to keep you out of the danger zones at the grocery store, and support you in making healthy lifestyle choices.
Qigong benefits us by combining breath, movement, and meditation into one seamless daily flow. Each qigong flow will help you reconnect to your bodies inner wisdom. Qigong will also help you build up your Qi from the inside out. Some benefits of qigong you might experience are, increased body awareness, increased range of motion in joints, a better sense of well being just to name a few.
I know that through bodywork, nutrition, and daily qigong practice we can reconnect with the bodies inner wisdom, reduce the effects of the three T’s, and to help you create our healthiest self.
